Cibes Lift Group, Europe’s leading manufacturer of low-speed lifts for public and private environments, has employed Chris Roggeband as VP Sales & Marketing. He succeeds Börje Fransson who becomes Group Sales and Marketing Advisor. Chris Roggeband is part of the Cibes Lift Group management team and began work in August. He comes from a position as Commercial and Marketing Manager at Handicare, an internationally well-established Swedish group active in the field of assistance devices and lifting solutions for elderly and disabled people, where he has also been responsible for international market development for more than ten years, as well as setting up and managing sales offices in USA, China, France, England and Italy.
“We are very pleased with the recruitment of Chris as new Sales and Marketing VP for Cibes Lift Group. His many years of international experience from a related business area are very valuable. Chris has successfully designed and implemented a customer and solution-oriented marketing strategy. In recent years, Cibes Lift Group has gradually moved towards a similar strategy where we define our role more clearly as a supplier of total solutions based on customer proximity and extensive customer dialogue. Chris’s experience is therefore important as we continue our global market development with strong customer focus and solution-oriented sales – through our own sales offices and together with our distributors,” says Cibes Lift Group CEO Mats Engblom.
Cibes Lift Group has evolved from a local Swedish company to an international group with more than 360 employees in fourteen countries and distributors in nearly fifty countries. Geographical expansion has been intense in recent years with the establishment of sales offices and subsidiaries in China, several countries in Southeast asia, Spain, France and others. In June 2017, the Cibes Lift Group was acquired by the investment company Nalka. Nalka’s intention is to support Cibes continued international market expansion, product development and strategy of working in close proximity to its customers in all its global markets.
“I could not refuse this opportunity to join and lead sales and marketing efforts in an internationally-active group with such clearly-expressed growth ambitions. There is a strong desire within Group Management to establish the Cibes brand in even more markets, open up new sales channels, intensify product development and conduct solution and customer-focused sales. Here there are both great opportunities and exciting challenges. I look forward to working with Cibes employees around the world as well as its distributors in order to realise our expansive market goals established for the future,” says Chris Roggeband.
