R12 has divested Cibes, a leading supplier of platform lift solutions based in Gävle, Sweden, and with global operations. Acquiror is the investment company Nalka, who wishes to continue supporting Cibes’ strong development through continued focus on product development and customer proximity.
“We are impressed by Cibes in everything from products to employees, and we now want to support the company’s continued development,” says Henrik Jonsson, CEO of Nalka.
R12 acquired Cibes in 2003 and has in the last 14 years supported the development of the company from a small, production-focused manufacturer to a world-leading and market-driven supplier of platform lift solutions. R12 now sees opportunities to further increase the company’s growth under Nalka’s ownership.
“R12 has been a very good owner who, that with patience, capital, expertise and network, has supported the development of Cibes, from a local company with 38 employees with a turnover of 100 million, to a company with 350 employees and a turnover of 800 million and with sales in over 50 countries. With Nalka as long-term owner, we can now continue our international journey, making Cibes a truly global company,” says Mats Engblom, CEO of Cibes.
